I was reading someone's testimony and it is really encouraging so just want to share with you guys! Hope you will feel encourage after reading it=)
My Testimony (Andrew Yeo) He's a covenant keeping God!
I was born and raised in a Taoist home.
Both my parents were staunch Taoists and there were many idols in my home (13 in total!). I was about 16 years old when I first became a Christian.
When my father came to know about it he was furious.
As the eldest son in a Taoist family it would be my responsibility to carry out the Taoist funeral rites for him after his death.
He knew that as a Christian, I would not partake in the ceremony.
He was so angry that he threw my bible away, gave me a beating, and even kicked me out of the house for a while. But God is faithful. My parents began to see the changes that the Lord was doing in me.
One day when I went back home, I realized that all the idols were gone.
I asked my mother "where are the idols?".
To my surprise (and great joy), my mother replied that she did not believe in the idols anymore and that she had thrown them all away!
That was the first of many 'miracles' that I would see.
Just a few months ago, in May 2004, my dad suddenly called me on my phone and asked me to pray for him.
After I prayed for him, I asked him if he would like to receive Jesus and he said yes!
Just one day after he received Christ, my father suffered a stroke, and half of his body was paralysed.
In the subsequent week, while in hospital, he asked for a bible, and told me that he wanted to be baptised.
On the day of the first baptism class he passed away peacefully.
I felt the peace of God right throughout my dad's funeral.
This was the first Christian funeral in my family, and I thank the Lord for the chance to share my testimony during the funeral to my relatives who are non-believers, and for His faithfulness.
But God had other surprises for me.
One day, about a month after the funeral, my mum asked me for a bible too.
The next surprise came when she called me, and said that she wanted to attend a church near our home!
I got a pastor friend to get in touch with her and he arranged for her to attend the church.
One Sunday, I was thrilled when my mother went to church by herself.
Imagine my surprise and joy when the following day, the pastor called me and said that my mum had walked down to the altar during the altar call to receive Christ without even anyone talking to her about it!
Praise God!
Our God is a covenant keeping God.
When you are saved, your whole household will be saved.
For those whose parents are not saved yet, I hope my testimony will encourage you to continue to believe God for their salvation.
He's a covenant keeping God!

Looking at my previous post, I saw myself asking people to take good care of their health and yet I fell sick yesterday. I was a very bad flu on sun and I didn't expect the worse. A very bad sore throat came. I've went to see the doctor yesterday so I suppose it will get better.
Anyway, I didn't go school today. However, I slacked at home. Well, really tired and not motivated. haix. My secondary school ending soon. Two more days to go! Wonder if i should be happy or sad. But one thing I'm sure is that I'm going to miss it!

I think it had been around 2 weeks since I last blogged. Well, I was busy watch the show goong in the first week. It's a pretty nice show and you should really go watch. However, what I don't really like about that show is that, it is a bit draggy. Perhaps, that's what a korean show should be? Anyway, I enjoyed the time when the two main character get together. It is really sweet. Awww... In that show, I realised that character somehow do change one outlook appearance. For example, Shin initially looked ugly. However, after the whole show, I find that he is quite good-looking. As for Yul, he is really really good-looking and gentle. A perfect lover for many girls. BUT in the show, he acted as the bad guy. Hence, later in the show, I disliked him and find that he is not really as good-looking when the first time I show him. In conclusion, inner beauty does change your outer appearance.=)
And as for the second week, it was quite a "slacking" week for me. Feeling guilty, I had to admit that there wasn't a proper revision for me. However, I've managed to file certain worksheets. To me, it's BIG achievement. *applause* anyway, this week, singapore is enveloped by the irritating haze, caused my our neighbouring country again. this time, it's due to the dry season in indonesia. today, the PSI even reached to 150! It is unhealthy.
It is expected to stop in the mid october so we had to bear with this for a week or more. Somehow, I felt that I'm in Genting again. But the difference is that here in sinapore, it's hot but in Genting, it's another story. Really pray that the haze will leave asap. Even before what's expected. Do take care as it's easier to fall sick during this period of time.
